The RoboCreators educational project can look back on a successful 2025.
The RoboCreators education project can look back on an extraordinarily successful year in 2025. With innovative workshop formats, practical learning opportunities and a strong regional network, a total of almost 2,200 pupils and 140 teachers were reached in 2025.
A total of 142 workshops, five further training courses for teachers and multipliers and a major hands-on event were held. In addition, the RoboCreators were represented at ten events in Leipzig and the surrounding area - such as the KinderUni, the Hobbymesse and RobotDay - where they presented practical approaches to robotics, programming and digital technologies.
One particular success is the sustainable anchoring of the project: four working groups (AGs) have been established at schools and cultural institutions and regularly organise events. This means that STEM education is integrated into the everyday lives of children and young people in the long term.
The promotion of young talent in-house was also further strengthened: the LeoBots student group accompanied and supervised several school interns and gave them a direct insight into technical development projects and student research work.
"The high demand and the consistently positive feedback show how important extracurricular STEM programmes are for securing skilled workers and the future viability of our region," said the RoboCreators project team.
Special thanks go to the skilled labour alliances of the city of Leipzig, the district of Leipzig and North Saxony for their support. The RoboCreators would also like to thank their strong partners: the VDI-GaraGe Leipzig, INSPIRATA, the Start IT Smart project of Joblinge Leipzig, the MakersLab of HTWK Leipzig, the Kulturgut Linda in Frohburg, the Förderverein der Felix-Bloch-Schule and Karsten Beuche from Martin-Rinckart-Gymnasium in Eilenburg.
With the successful project year 2025, the RoboCreators are sending a strong signal for practice-orientated STEM education in the Leipzig region - and are already planning the next innovative formats for the coming year.
