Robotics from primary school to university: The RoboCreators, Leobots and school pupils from Leipzig are working together to develop a new workshop based on the LeKiwi platform.
The RoboCreators are working with Leobots and enthusiastic student interns from schools in Leipzig to develop a new robotics workshop based on the modern LeKiwi platform. The aim of the project is to provide an innovative and practical introduction to the world of robotics, programming and artificial intelligence.
The new platform is to be specially adapted for use in schools and provide pupils with low-threshold access to the latest technologies. The focus is particularly on teaching the basics of programming, sensor technology, autonomous navigation and the practical use of modern robotics software.
Thanks to the platform’s open and extensible architecture, the system can also be used and further developed in a higher education context in the future. This creates a seamless educational approach, from the first encounter with robotics at school through to advanced applications in higher education, research and development.
Particular mention should be made of the active involvement of student interns in the development of the workshops. They contribute their own ideas, test concepts in practice and gain early insights into technical career fields and modern development processes.
Through this project, the participants aim to make a long-term contribution to promoting young talent and securing a skilled workforce in the fields of computer science, robotics and artificial intelligence. At the same time, the aim is to foster young people’s enthusiasm for technical and scientific subjects.
