The RoboCreators from HTWK Leipzig, in collaboration with the Start IT Smart project run by JOBLINGE gAG, are presenting exciting hands-on activities centred on robotics and computer science at the ‘Experimentieren im Park’ event in Großbothen
Großbothen/Leipzig, 2 June 2026 – The RoboCreators from HTWK Leipzig are taking part in the ‘Experimenting in the Park’ event at Wilhelm-Ostwald-Park in Großbothen with an interactive hands-on stand. Together with the Start IT Smart project run by JOBLINGE gAG, the initiative for promoting young talent and its partners are inviting children, young people and families to discover technology and computer science in a fun and playful way.
At their stand, the RoboCreators will be presenting various robotics and technology projects for visitors to try out and get involved in. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience modern technologies for themselves, gain their first programming experiences and gain an insight into the fascinating world of robotics. The focus is on hands-on learning through personal discovery and experimentation.
The ‘Experimenting in the Park’ event has established itself as a major STEM event in the Leipzig district. Numerous educational institutions, associations and companies will be presenting innovative hands-on activities in the fields of maths, computing, science and technology. For the RoboCreators, the event offers an ideal opportunity to spark an early interest in technical subjects among young people and to highlight the diverse educational and development opportunities available in the region.
“Technical skills are becoming increasingly important for the future of our society and economy. Events such as ‘Experimenting in the Park’ provide low-threshold access to STEM topics and enable children and young people to discover their talents,” emphasise the organisers of the RoboCreators.
The RoboCreators are taking part in collaboration with the ‘Start IT Smart’ project run by JOBLINGE gAG Leipzig, which supports young people in entering digital career fields and provides hands-on experience in the field of information technology. This collaboration creates synergies between school education, extracurricular talent development and career guidance.
Through their commitment, the RoboCreators are helping to secure a supply of skilled workers in the Leipzig region. Through practical educational programmes and fostering an early enthusiasm for technology, the aim is to motivate young people to engage with future technologies and, in the long term, to pursue educational and career paths in technical or engineering fields.
The RoboCreators are an open education and development project at HTWK Leipzig. Together with students, school pupils and other interested parties, innovative projects in the fields of robotics, electronics, programming and digital technologies are developed. The aim is to bring technical education to life and to promote access to modern technology for all age groups.
