Composite Circularity Lab
Comprehensive solutions for the circular economy using composite materials
The Composite Circularity Lab (CCL) was established in December 2024. Our team develops new concepts to facilitate the transition to a circular economy for the fibre composites industry. For various sectors, such as the wind energy sector, the aerospace industry and the automotive industry, we develop circular strategies comprising the elements of reuse, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing, repurposing and recycling (the R6 strategy). In various research projects, we focus in particular on the implementation of ‘repurpose’ demonstrator solutions, which we aim to translate into applications suitable for series production. In addition, we develop sustainable material solutions with a reduced carbon footprint for various sectors.
