Curriculum Vitae
Dr Pamela Voigt, Architect, studied architecture at the Bauhaus University Weimar from 1994 to 2001. From 2001 to 2005, she taught and conducted research within the interdisciplinary research group for material-appropriate design and construction with fibre-reinforced plastics (FOMEKK) at the Bauhaus University Weimar. In early 2007, Pamela Voigt completed her doctoral thesis on the art-historical topic: ‘The Pioneering Phase of Building with Glass-Fibre-Reinforced Plastics (GFRP) – 1942 to 1980’. Since 2008, she has been working independently as a freelance architect and art historian, primarily in the field of building with fibre-reinforced plastics. She does this as part of a collaborative group with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Elke Genzel under the name BAKU – Building with Plastics. In addition to this focus on restoration and consultancy regarding the preservation and new development of plastic structures throughout Germany, she also undertakes traditional building projects such as conversions and refurbishments of detached and terraced houses in Leipzig.
