Drawing your own working circuits using conductive ink: On 12 June, the RoboCreators will be presenting their new creative workshop, ‘Drawing Circuits’, for the first time at Kulturgut Linda. This innovative format combines art and technology in a playful way and is set to become a permanent feature of the workshop programme in future.
Linda, 12 June 2026 – How is an electric circuit formed, and why does a light bulb glow? The new ‘Drawing Circuits’ workshop by RoboCreators provides the answers to these questions. As part of the children’s club at Kulturgut Linda, this innovative hands-on activity is being introduced for the first time and trialled with around twelve participants.
What makes it special is that children and young people can draw their own circuits on paper using a special conductive ink. The connections they draw are actually electrically conductive, enabling them to integrate LEDs and other small electronic components directly into the artworks they have designed themselves. This results in creative images that not only look good but also work technically.
The workshop brings together art, creativity and technical education in a vivid way. Through play, participants learn the basics of electrical circuits and experience first-hand how an idea develops into a functioning technical system. At the same time, the format offers plenty of scope for their own creative ideas and individual experimentation.
The concept was newly developed by the RoboCreators and will be held publicly for the first time on 12 June. Following the pilot event, the programme is set to be incorporated into the regular workshop programme and continuously developed further. The aim is to provide children and young people with low-threshold access to technology and the natural sciences, whilst promoting creativity as a key component of technical education.
The KulturKinder-AG at Kulturgut Linda offers the ideal conditions for this. In this regular programme, new workshop ideas are developed, tested and further refined together with the participants. Previous events have consistently met with great interest and a positive response. The combination of hands-on experimentation, creative work and modern technologies inspires children, young people and families alike.
With the new ‘Drawing Circuits’ workshop, the RoboCreators are expanding their educational programme to include yet another innovative format, demonstrating that technology can be not only understandable but also creative, exciting and accessible to everyone.
