Digital microscopy with the KEYENCE VHX-7000

The VHX-7000 digital microscope from KEYENCE allows objects to be viewed, measured and documented. To do this, the object is imaged using various objectives and a high-resolution 4K CMOS image sensor. The included VHX-S660E stand allows the angle between the object’s surface and the stand to be adjusted manually and continuously. The stage, which can be moved electrically along two axes, also enables much larger images to be captured.
The high depth of field makes it very easy to examine objects. By varying the lighting, surfaces can be visualised very effectively using an optical shadow effect mode.
Possible applications:
- 2D measurements of various geometries, roughness
- 3D measurements ranging from profile analysis to surface roughness
- Residual contamination analysis in accordance with ISO 16232 and VDA 19
- Particle size analysis in accordance with ASTM E1382 and DIN EN ISO 643
- Automatic area measurements and counts
- Countless other applications possible
The measuring instrument is equipped with two different lenses:
- VH-Z100T universal zoom lens
- Magnification 100x to 1000x
- OP-88164 ring illumination unit
- Small high-performance zoom lens VH-Z20T
- Magnification 20x to 200x
- Illumination unit OP-88329 with adapter
