Symposium on future topics in the energy industry: HTWK professors Robert Huhn and Faouzi Derbel chair the gas and electricity forums
The energy service providers MITGAS Mitteldeutsche Gasversorgung GmbH and envia Mitteldeutsche Energie AG (enviaM) invite you to the symposium "Energy Environment Future" on 29 June 2023 at the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL). The event will deal with current topics from the energy industry and energy policy and address trends and developments in the sector. In the opening forum from 9 a.m., Peter Wohlleben, bestselling author and forester, will speak on the topic of "Future-oriented use of our resources - what we can learn from trees". The opening forum will conclude with a look at the importance of sector coupling by Dirk Hünlich from MITNETZ STROM.
HTWK professors lead gas and electricity forums
In the second part, the conference will offer a range of specialised gas and electricity topics. All conference participants can listen to presentations in both forums depending on their interests. The gas forum, chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Huhn (HTWK Leipzig), will focus on the future viability of the gas infrastructure, particularly with regard to the use of biogas and hydrogen. The Electricity Expert Forum, chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Faouzi Derbel (HTWK Leipzig), will cover topics such as dynamic electricity tariffs, innovative building technology solutions and the integration of electric vehicles into the grid. A Deutsche Bahn project will also show how sector coupling can make CO2-free rail transport possible even on non-electrified routes.
Conference programme and registration
The conference programme and registration form can be found at www.energiefachtagung.com. Technical papers will also be published there after the conference. As every year, the lecture programme will be accompanied by a trade exhibition on innovative energy applications.
Participation is free of charge for members of Gasgemeinschaft Mitteldeutschland e.V. (ggm) and Energiegemeinschaft Mitteldeutschland e.V. (egm), as well as for students, sponsors and partners. The participation fee for other guests is 49 euros.
