Report dated 4 February 2022 | In conversation with Prof. Huhn – Just under two weeks ago, the Saxon Cabinet adopted the hydrogen strategy for the Free State of Saxony. The aim is to establish a hydrogen economy with value chains in Saxony that are as self-contained as possible. This is because hydrogen is regarded as a key component of the energy transition. It can be used to temporarily store renewable energy and can be transported safely. This is precisely what HTWK Leipzig, together with partners from the worlds of science and industry, has been demonstrating since May 2019 at the Hydrogen Village in Bitterfeld-Wolfen.
