The EU project iClimaBuilt has come to an end: HTWK Leipzig and partners developed panels that can cope with heat and cold
The Europe-wide research project iClimaBuilt, funded by the European Horizon 2020 funding programme, ran for four years. Scientists from 27 institutions in 14 countries researched the same goal: to develop building envelopes that contain systems for energy storage and energy recovery in order to come closer to the mission of zero emission buildings (ZEBs). Functional insulating materials and materials should help with this. The researchers initiated a total of nine pilot lines at five climate locations.
