Professorship of Materials Technology involved with lecture
The 80th HärtereiKongress took place in Cologne from 8 to 10 October 2024. Once again this year, Prof Paul Rosemann (Chair of Materials Engineering) from the Faculty of Engineering at HTWK Leipzig was actively involved with a lecture on the heat treatment of steel. His presentation on "Heat treatment, microstructure and properties of precipitation hardening stainless steel X5CrNiCuNb16-4 produced by powder bed fusion" combined the topics of "additive manufacturing" and "heat treatment" of stainless steel.
The HärtereiKongress (HK) organised by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Wärmebehandlung und Werkstofftechnik e. V. (AWT) is the largest European specialist congress on topics relating to heat treatment, materials technology, manufacturing and process engineering. The combination of technical presentations and industrial exhibition brings together protagonists from research and application.
