How can robotics be integrated into lessons and everyday school life in a practical way? At Robot Day on 25 November 2026 at HTWK Leipzig, teachers will receive practical suggestions, gain their first experience of programming and learn about successful examples from schools in Leipzig.
Leipzig, 15 October 2026 – How can robotics be better integrated into everyday school life? Robot Day on Wednesday 25 November 2026 will provide the answers. The Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce, together with RoboCreators, the robotics school laboratory at HTWK Leipzig, and the Felix Bloch School Support Association, invites you to a day of practical activities and inspiration at HTWK Leipzig.
Who isit for?
Robot Day is aimed at teachers and school staff from the city of Leipzig, the Leipzig district and the North Saxony district who wish to further develop robotics and future-oriented learning at their schools. As well as gaining practical insights, participants will also learn about the funding opportunities available to schools.
Programme
Hands-on programming with Calliope mini and Calli:bot
To kick things off, participants will try out the educational robots for themselves. Programming is done using graphical blocks, so no prior knowledge is required and initial results become visible quickly. Both systems are suitable for use from primary school right through to vocational school.
Real-world examples: Robotics in Leipzig’s schools
Course leaders will then report on how robotics is already being used in lessons and extracurricular clubs at schools in Leipzig, which approaches have proved successful, and what helps when getting started. During the discussion, participants can ask their own questions and take away ideas for their own schools.
