The ceremony is a special moment for the graduates and their families to celebrate the completion of their university degree.
On 12 April 2025, we celebrated a very special milestone together with around 300 guests at Plant II in Leipzig-Connewitz: the graduation of our graduates from the Faculty of Engineering at HTWK Leipzig.
As Dean, it fills me with pride every year to see how many committed, clever and creative young men and women complete their engineering training with us with flying colours. Congratulations to all graduates - this success is thanks to you!
Outstanding theses were also honoured at this ceremony:
Netz Leipzig GmbH's Leipzig Energy Prize went to Benedict Scharf (Master's in Energy, Building and Environmental Engineering) for his excellent Master's thesis entitled "Transformation concept for achieving greenhouse gas neutrality in a bakery".
Karl Kolle Prize | The prize for outstanding theses was awarded to the following graduates:
- Amelie Merbach (Bachelor of Energy, Building and Environmental Engineering)
- Marten Tschatschanidse (Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering)
- Richard Köhler (Master of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology)
- Louis Westermann (Master Mechanical Engineering)
A big thank you goes to the prize sponsors - their commitment motivates and honours young academics in a special way.
I would like to thank all colleagues, supporters, families and friends who celebrated this day with us and accompanied the graduates on their journey. They all contribute to making our faculty a place of growth, research and success.
May our graduates embark on their professional future with courage, responsibility and innovation - they are our engineers of tomorrow!
