German-Korean cooperation: Colloquium on the development of biosensors at HTWK Leipzig

The international scientific colloquium "Development of nanomaterial-based in-vitro diagnostic technology for thrombosis in various stages" took place at HTWK Leipzig from 26 to 28 February 2024.
Researchers from South Korea, the USA, the UK and Germany discussed how thrombosis diseases can be detected at an early stage using innovative biosensors. Experts from the fields of medicine, materials research and sensor development exchanged ideas. The aim of the expert group is to use specially developed nanomaterials in the sensors to detect the occurrence of certain biomarkers typical of thrombosis as early as possible.
A follow-up event is planned for June 2024 in Daejeon (South Korea). The expert discussions are intended to help prepare a larger German-Korean research project. The Korean government and the Saxon transfer project Saxony5 are supporting the organisation of the colloquia.
