Programmable controller
Teaching Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlef Riemer
Objective
This course teaches basic knowledge of freely programmable microcontroller controls. In addition to a general introduction to microcontroller technology, the control commands of a specific controller are presented and the creation of simple control programmes is practised. In addition, an introduction to modern possibilities of remote data transmission and PLC control technology is given. The functions of analogue-digital converters and digital-analogue converters are also explained.
Main focus of the course
- Introduction to microcontroller technology
- AD/DA converters - processing of control technology signals; optical/electrical potential separation methods
- Familiarisation with the microcontroller-based "C-Controll" control system for the implementation of simple control systems
- Hardware and software modification options and application examples of the C-Controll controller
- Getting to know and practising programme examples for the C-Control controller
- Secure data transmission in control systems using bus systems, wireless Bluetooth technology or embedded systems for remote data transmission via the internet
- Introduction to programmable logic controller technology - PLC
