Mechatronics 1
Teaching Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlef Riemer
Objective
The main content of this course is to impart knowledge about the relationships between function and structure, in particular of motion-generating elements. Using practical examples of modern mechatronic components and systems, various effective design methods of mechatronics with their respective specific features are explained and deepened in seminar form.
Focus of the course
- Introduction to mechatronics and its components
- Characteristics and examples of mechatronic systems
- Basic structure of a mechatronic system
- Forms of integration of mechatronic systems using the example of multi-coordinate drives
- Design of mechatronic systems and their specifics
- Methods and components of mechatronic design systems
- Mechatronic designs and their respective special features
- Design of physically heterogeneous overall systems
- Example of the mechatronic design of a fast-acting drive system
- Importance of simulation in mechatronics
- Familiarisation with software-supported design systems
- Introduction to actuator technology
