Laboratory for Air Conditioning Technology
Aim of the work placement
To familiarise oneself with equipment and systems used in air conditioning and ventilation engineering
Key areas of training
- Air conditioning measurement technology
- Components of ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Air-conditioning systems
- Pressure losses in ventilation systems
- Airflow in rooms
Practical Course | Climate Measurement Technology
Aim of the experiment
- To measure all relevant parameters for the assessment and calculation of thermal comfort in accordance with DIN EN ISO 7730
Practical | High-pressure air humidification using the CERTO humidifier
Objective
- To determine the behaviour of adiabatic humidification up to potential saturation of the air at φ > 100% relative humidity
- Determination of the humidification water requirement at a specified room relative humidity
Practical session | Air conditioning
Aim of the experiment
- Functionality of the components of an air-conditioning system: heat recovery,
- surface coolers, humidifiers, heaters, fans, supply air diffusers
- Operational behaviour of a central air-conditioning unit in summer and winter
Practical | Radiation propagation in a room
Aim of the experiment
- Measurement and calculation of an isothermal free jet under conditions of varying air outlet dimensions
Practical | Ventilation system – pressure losses
Aim of the experiment
- Measurement of pressure losses in ventilation systems and documentation of the pressure profile
