Control technology
Teaching Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlef Riemer
Objective
This course provides a basic knowledge of the analysis and synthesis of control systems based on logical elements and their interconnections. Electronic circuits for switching higher electrical power and the time-delayed switching of electrical loads are also covered. Basic relay circuits and electronic protective circuits are also explained.
Focus of the course
- Introduction to control technology
- Basic logical elements of control technology and their links
- Circuit analysis of linked logical basic elements
- Circuit algebra (Boolean algebra, Morgan's laws)
- Circuit synthesis for the effective design of control systems based on basic logical elements (normal form, simplification/reshaping of logic operations, Karnaugh diagram)
- Electrical power components of control technology (electromechanical switching elements, electronic power switches and their basic circuits)
- Control circuits with pick-up and drop-out delay Electronic protective circuits and their dimensioning
