Energy-efficient design and planning of decentralised supply networks for the geothermal heating and cooling of urban neighbourhoods – digitalisation and practical effectiveness
The overall objective of the project is the practical refinement and implementation of concepts, workflows and tools for a decision-support system for the heating and cooling of buildings and neighbourhoods using near-surface geothermal resources. Methodological groundwork for the system’s components, as well as their validation, was carried out in the predecessor project, EASyQuart. The aim now is to develop the decision-support tools from mere recommendations for action into a comprehensive digital toolkit. This is based on workflows, algorithms, interfaces and software components that are used in the early planning phase of building and neighbourhood projects for feasibility studies, as well as in the actual design process.
